Eric discovered his passion for sailing on the waters of Chicago, IL, where he began as a crew member racing large boats. Captivated by the sport and inspired by the expertise of seasoned sailors, he immersed himself in learning every aspect of sailing.

Within just three years of his first sail, Eric became a certified keelboat instructor. He spent the next two summers fully immersed in the sailing lifestyle—teaching during the week, racing on weekends, and enjoying recreational sails whenever possible.

A longtime visitor to Cape Cod, Eric even spent a summer living in Dennis while working as a lifeguard on the town’s beaches. In 2010, he made Cape Cod his permanent home. Soon after relocating, he completed the captain’s certification program at Massachusetts Maritime Academy, earning a U.S. Coast Guard 50-Ton Master License. Eric also holds certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding through the American Red Cross.
